Listen now | This podcast discusses a book by David Allen titled “Lukan Authorship of Hebrews” where he argues that the anonymous author of Hebrews was none other than “Luke” - the same author of Luke-Acts.
The previous look at Rick Strelan's book, "Luke the Priest" reminded me of David Allen's book along the same subject line. Like Strelan's book, David Allen's view is possible, but I think it's hard to say with certainty. He's also not the only one to suggest that Theophilus was a specific Jewish high priest. I don't think his conclusions are a consensus view, but that makes it all the more interesting to consider.
